After a couple of weeks of rain on and off, we took advantage of a sunny day and decided to make the most of it. So we took a bus to a park and had hours to explore. From crossing streams and bridges, to eating blackberries, "making rain" and following trails. It was a day well spent.
Finding a perfect part of the stream with a clay bed, the kids had fun creating all sorts of objects. We even found a rock that resembled a dinosaur egg!

Kurt and his wife, Jill; along with Derek, Dad (Opa) and Bianca were able to attend Erika's performance!
Here's her group of Latin girls. They are from the back, left to right; Jody, Mary, Stasia, Erika, Ashley; front row; Ciera, Mashaela, Michelle.
In March, 2008 Erika went to her first National Amateur Ballroom Dance Competition in Provo, Utah. There her non-profit dance company, Pacific Ballroom Dance, competed in both the Latin and Standard Medleys. Erika was in the Latin Medley. This was the first year the Company compete in Latin and came in 3rd Place. They were thrilled. Their medley used a compilation of Michael Buble songs! In this first picture, Erika is on the left, second couple from the bottom.
